Our Story
RG Sports Tours is a touring agency that assists with independent and group tours all around the world. The agency was founded in July 2024 by founder Raveen Ganesh who was on a mission to deliver quality tours and assist in making memories for everyone on these tours whether they were players or supporters.
Raveen Ganesh, with his extensive background in sports travel logistics, brings a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction that is unmatched in the industry.
Another formidable strength of RG Sports Tours is Ganesh Mylvaganam, a former international cricket player and cricket coach, has a profound understanding of the game and the nuances of sports travel. His expertise ensures that every tour we organize meets the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Raveen Ganesh
CEO/Founder
Raveen Ganesh is RG Sports Tours CEO/ Founder. Raveen is a highly motivated individual currently studying Bachelor of Commerce at Macquarie University.
Educated from The Kings School, Raveen spent his high school years traveling to various countries playing cricket on sports tours. These very tours channeled his drive to deliver tours at an exceptional standard for an affordable price. Raveen plays cricket in the NSW Premier competition as well as performing on many different platforms. Raveen Ganesh works hand in hand with his team to provide you with amazing tours year in and year out.
Ganesh Mylvaganam
Consultant
Ganesh Mylvaganam is a seasoned cricketer with a distinguished background in both domestic and international cricket, having represented Sri Lanka at a first-class level and the United Arab Emirates in the prestigious 1996 World Cup. A proud alumnus of Wesley College Colombo, where he captained the illustrious 1985 school cricket team to victory, earning recognition as the best all-island school’s cricket team.
Now based in Sydney, he channels his passion for the sport into coaching, with a focus on nurturing emerging talent from both Australia and Sri Lanka. Through his guidance, he fosters a sense of camaraderie among young cricketers, instilling in them a shared dedication to the sport’s integrity and growth.
Beyond the cricket field, he is a dedicated supporter and contributor to charitable causes, notably the SOS Children’s Villages in Sri Lanka and the Roshan Mahanama Trust.
In addition to his contributions to cricket and philanthropy, he brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the financial sector, having worked in various capacities across the globe. Currently serving as a banking and investment specialist at the Australia and New Zealand Bank in Sydney, he continues to leverage his expertise to drive financial success and stability.
Shakya Gunawardhana
Admin Executive
Shakya Gunawardhana is working at our Sri Lanka office as the Admin Executive. She has a wealth of experience in the customer & IT service industries, having worked at several leading IT, requirement and other companies. She has completed the National Diploma in Information and Communication Technology which is registered with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka.
Shakya, in her pivotal role at RG Sports Tours, balances a variety of administrative duties to keep our sports tours running smoothly. Shakya manages schedules, coordinates communication between collaborators, and provides excellent customer support to ensure a seamless experience for our clients. With a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills, she helps streamline processes, solve problems, and contribute to the overall success of our tours. This dynamic role offers opportunities for Shakya to engage with various aspects of the business, making it both challenging and rewarding. As the Admin Executive, Shakya is focused on improving our services by carefully looking at client feedback and making needed changes. She always aims to meet and exceed client expectations by staying up to date with industry trends and offering new solutions.
